AFROTONIC Dance Tour in Senegal - Jan 2011

Join Afrotonic founder Veronique for a 3-week Dance tour in Senegal, West Africa. Local professional dancers El Hadj and Aptsa will teach you amazing djembe and sabar moves, accompanied by live drumming from Joe. Students can chose a 2 hr per day (morning only) or 4 1/2 hr per day (morning & late afternoon) dance package as well as a beginner or intermediate/ advanced level.

Accommodation will be in private 2-3 bedroom houses on the beautiful small island of N'gor, not far from the Dakar airport. Kitchen facilities with fridge, 'normal' toilets (that work!) and hot showers are provided. Click here to find out more about the island and its accommodations (sorry - it's all in French!).

Dance classes will be conducted on the island - no time wasted in transport! A daily 2-min boat shuttle will take you to the N'gor beach from where you can visit the land and surroundings. Meals will be prepared by local women and give you a taste of the real delicious West African food. Local bars and restaurants are also available on the island for those that want a special treat. Week-end excursions to Ile de Goree, Lac Rose, Dakar and various markets as well as Drum classes are available on-demand.

Afrotonic Dance Tour Package will include costs for accomodation, food and dance classes as well as transport from airport to island and daily island/land boat shuttle. Airflight bookings and payments are at the discretion of each student but AFROTONIC is happy to recommend best travel packages.
